Bible Mad Lib For 4/19

Hey Families! Id like to ask you to take some time tonight and fill this out whether you just right your part on a paper or have the opportunity to print it out and fill it out. If your willing I would love to have some of your mad libs to share, you can email or just text a picture or take a video of yourself reading your finished mad lib!! I will do a special video and share your mad libs so we can all have a laugh together. I love doing these they get funny very quickly.

KidFlix Movie Reveal for 4/19

Good Morning Families! I pray you all had a wonderful Easter Sunday. I certainly missed being at the church with all of you, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Wagner kids do the Easter Story. You all were FABULOUS!!!!!!
I just wanted to pop in and share the clues and the next movie for our Sunday series.

I just wanted to say Happy Easter, We serve a risen and powerful God who will conquer this corona virus just as he conquered the grave! There is nothing we need to fear when we walk in the knowledge of that Truth! I know it doesn’t feel like Easter and things seem bleak but shout a HALLELUJAH so loud that the devil and his spirit of fear run away today! JESUS IS ALIVE!!!!

Hymn Sing and Right Now Media

Dear Elim Family,

Yesterday afternoon, we recorded the music for our April Hymn Sing.  We hope to have the edits done by the end of the week and send it out to you.  After singing just a few of the hymns, I was struck by how powerfully the lyrics speak to our context today!  Those hymns of faith have the power to obliterate anxiety and fear!  

There were so many moments while singing where my spirit was absolutely soaring!  One, for example, was while singing “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today”:

Lives again our glorious King  Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now your sting?  Alleluia!
Dying once he all does save, Alleluia!
Where your victory, O grave? Alleluia!   (v. 2)

Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia! 
Foll’wing our exalted Head, Alleluia! 
Made like him, like him we rise, Alleluia! 
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!   (v. 4)

Maybe hymns aren’t your thing.  But I ask you, then, what is it that super-charges your faith?  What spiritual practices obliterate fear and anxiety, and cause your spirit to soar with Christ?  For such a time as this, make time every day to connect deeply with God, using the resources that beef up your spiritual muscle and help you rise above the choking fear that is all around us.

Quarantine Day 7,357

I don’t know how long we’ve been quarantined but it’s feeling like a really long time at this point.

As we move in to the nice part of spring… the cold bleak reality that we live in becomes ever more obvious. Sidewalks and schools empty. Who else got hailed on??? I had my hearing aids out and heard it clear as day. I’m starting to become a bit nervous. How long will this go on??? The dogs have become so frantic that they can barely handle it.

Barely. Able. To stay calm.

On a brighter note,

As we go forward, we have something new to occupy us. Elim has recently become a member of RightNow Media. Which means we have access to tons of great video footage. I thought this would be a good way to get started.
